Ladbrokes is constantly exploring new ways to reach out to sports fans and to keep them up-to-date with news and betting information. With Big Frank, Ladbrokes' virtual sports pundit already online and proving a hit, they were looking at using a similar service to get fans attention during the World Cup.
To spar with Big Frank, we created a 3D virtual Chris Kamara, the popular ex-footballer and Sky Sports pundit. Animated videos featuring Chris, fronted an exciting portfolio of World Cup content including Kamara's blog, the Bookie's blog, information on betting markets, specials on the teams playing and 'Bet in Play'.
Chris Kamara's avatar proved such a hit that he's still working alongside Frank, and between them they deliver blog-style pre and post match commentary around the English Premiership, Champions League and Qualifiers for the European Championships.
